Oasis Consumer Healthcare has launched Oasis Age Essential, an over-the-counter, clinical-strength formula designed to support the changing mouth conditions of adults age 50 years and older.
Age Essential is a daily care, alcohol-free mouthwash that incorporates patent-pending Duration technology to kill germs for 16 hours while moistening a dry mouth, freshening breath, and helping prevent plaque and gingivitis, according to Oasis.
It is designed to relieve conditions that often occur in the mouths of adults in their 50s, including:
- Weaker saliva, which is addressed by Age Essential's high level of moisturizing agents and germ-fighting ingredients
- Overall mouth dryness, which is a side effect of various medications used for numerous health conditions
- Gingivitis
- Increased plaque or biofilm formation
Product testing was performed by a team led by microbial biofilm expert Mahmoud Ghannoum, PhD, director of the Center for Medical Mycology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, according to Oasis.
