Water Pik announced the latest addition to its product line today at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting: the Waterpik Water Flosser for Kids, designed to help young patients who struggle with traditional floss and for those who have orthodontics appliances.
"Let's face it, getting kids to floss is a difficult challenge in any dental practice," said Jay McCullock, vice president of marketing for oral care products at Water Pik, in a press release. "Most people simply don't like to floss, and unfortunately kids floss even less than adults. Our new kids' model provides a more effective alternative to traditional floss, and because it's fun and easy, compliance will be better for those challenging adolescent patients."
The Water Flosser For Kids is designed to accommodate smaller hands, especially for children ages 6 to 12, Water Pik note. It includes two tips: one Classic Jet Tip and one Orthodontic Tip. It also comes with 20 removable cling decals in colorful designs that kids can use to customize their unit.
