Tom's of Maine is now offering two new all-natural oral hygiene products: Wicked Fresh toothpaste and Wicked Fresh mouthwash.
Wicked Fresh toothpaste is the first toothpaste to feature the company's patent-pending, flavorless botanical licorice root extract combined with natural mint flavor oils, according to the company. Wicked Fresh mouthwash is nonalcoholic, using naturally sourced mineral zinc chloride.
In clinical testing, the toothpaste and mouthwash helped to inhibit volatile sulfur compounds, which produce bacteria in the oral cavity, and reduced bad breath for hours, according to Tom's of Maine.
The toothpaste comes in a recyclable tube and is available in Cool Peppermint and Spearmint Ice flavors. The mouthwash packaging is made from single-source plastic and can be completely recycled -- even the tamperproof shrink-wrap is compostable. It's available in Cool Mountain Mint and Peppermint Wave flavors.
The suggested retail price is $4.29 for the 5.2-ounce toothpaste and $4.99 for the 16-ounce mouthwash.
