Performance Healthcare Products has launched a line of "high-performance" scrubs for the dental, medical, and veterinary industries. The product was developed with input from professional nurses, resulting in a scrub that combines comfort and function into a fashionable and durable garment, the company said.
Performance Scrubs utilize a proprietary material developed by Milliken & Company, one of the largest privately held textile and chemical manufacturers, according to the company. VisaEndurance, a Milliken antimicrobial technology, is infused into the material via silver ions encapsulated in ceramic cages. Once the cage comes in contact with moisture, such as human sweat, the silver ions release, thus preventing odor caused by the bacteria, according to the company.
