Kerr Dental is now offering its Expasyl gingival retraction paste in strawberry flavor, the company announced.
Expasyl already features hemostasis and atraumatic gingival retraction in a fraction of the time it takes to use cord, the company said. A new intro kit includes a lightweight ergonomic gun, new curved tips, and 60% more material than the original.
Expasyl keeps soft tissue from obstructing the finish line in impressions, simultaneously stopping bleeding and expanding the sulcus, according to Kerr. The paste contains a 15% concentration of aluminum chloride, which constricts blood vessels and shrinks epithelial tissue, preventing residual bleeding and separating soft tissue from the dentition, noted the company, adding that these qualities are also useful in final cementation of indirect restorations or any restorative procedure that occurs near or below the gum line.
Kerr is also offering a discount on the purchase of two Demi LED curing lights. The dual package sells for 28% less than the cost of buying two separate lights, according to the company.
The new Demi Dual Pack contains two handpieces, two batteries, two light shields, two 8-mm Turbo+ light guides, one charger base that accommodates two handpieces, and one power supply.
The system is cordless and offers multiple ergonomic operating accommodations, according to Kerr. It contains a built-in "whisper-quiet" fan to keep it cool and can last three to four days when fully charged.
