Premier Dental has introduced the Enamelon preventive treatment gel.
The Enamelon gel contains 970 parts per million (ppm) of stannous fluoride and is safe for daily use by patients of all ages to help prevent caries and gingivitis, as well as treat sensitivity, according to the company. It is a safe and effective alternative for patient home care compared with both 5,000 ppm toothpastes and remineralizing pastes, Premier said.
Its nonabrasive formula of stannous fluoride, calcium, and phosphate is reported to deliver significantly more fluoride uptake and helps to promote remineralization and inhibit demineralization, according to the company.
Enamelon has a mint flavor, and it contains Ultramulsion and spilanthes to provide a pleasant mouth feel and boost salivary flow. The product does not contain sodium laurel sulfate, gluten, or dyes. It is available through an authorized dealer.
