A Kailua, HI, dentist has been indicted by an Oahu grand jury on 37 counts, including manslaughter, based on patient incidents from 2013 and 2016.
Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin announced on September 8 that the indictments against Lilly Geyer, DMD, included medical assistance fraud, prohibited acts related to controlled substances, assault, and manslaughter. The incidents took place from October to December 2013 and in April 2016.
The indictments were the result of an investigation between the Department of Public Safety, the Narcotics Enforcement Division, and the attorney general's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, according to the attorney general's office.
