The newest version of NextGen Healthcare Information Systems' electronic health record (EHR) software has been certified as an Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology's Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).
NextGen EDR (electronic dental record) version 4.2 complies with all clinical quality measures for eligible providers, according to the company. The additional software includes NextGen Ambulatory EHR, v5.6 SP1.
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that complete EHR software meets all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more -- but not all -- of the criteria approved by the U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
