While the U.S. added 209,000 jobs in June, with the healthcare and government industries seeing the biggest gains, dental offices took a hit, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
In June, healthcare added 41,000 jobs at hospitals, nursing and care facilities, and home health services, but dental offices lost 7,000 jobs. On average, healthcare has added 42,000 jobs monthly so far this year, which is similar to the average gain of 46,000 jobs monthly in 2022, according to a press release dated July 7 from the bureau.
