The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has charged the managers of a Valparaiso, IN, dental practice with defrauding Medicare.
Justyn Arch and Trystan Arch of Arch Complete Family Dentistry were charged with a single-count grand jury indictment on February 22, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District of Indiana.
The indictment stated that Justyn Arch and Trystan Arch defrauded Indiana Medicaid by falsifying patient files, claiming dental surgery when none had been performed. The false claims reportedly totaled $350,000.
The investigation into the case was conducted by the FBI, the Indiana Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services with the help of the Porter County Prosecutor's Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip Benson.
