Delta Dental of Arkansas is providing its business clients and network dentists with financial relief to help mitigate the financial impact of COVID-19.
The carrier has unveiled its Pandemic Relief Credit, a program that will automatically credit 100% of the monthly premium billed to its commercial business clients with dental and/or vision insurance. This premium "holiday" is worth nearly $15 million in credits to over 4,000 business clients in Arkansas, according to Delta Dental. The credit will be provided to both fully insured and self-insured business customers on their July 2020 bill.
Network dental practices will also be getting some help. Delta Dental said it's making $2.9 million in grants available to help dental practitioners offset additional expenses incurred as a result of Arkansas Department of Health's Phase I COVID-19 guidelines requiring increased use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and additional cleaning and disinfecting of all dental treatment rooms.
Active licensed dentists with a practice in Arkansas that is part of a Delta Dental network can request a $2,500 grant by completing an online form on Delta Dental's website. The application period will run through June 1.
