A Utah woman accused of sneaking into the break rooms of multiple businesses, including dental offices, and stealing personal items has been arrested, according to a story published recently by KSL-TV.
Alicia Christiansen Turnbow, 43, of Salt Lake City was charged on January 30 with theft, burglary, and vehicle theft. Police had been searching for her for months.
Turnbow allegedly went into the break rooms of businesses, rummaged through staff members' purses and other belongings, and left with wallets, credit cards, and car keys. Sometimes, she reportedly used the keys to steal the cars and use them to head to places to commit other crimes, according to the story.
On January 27, Turnbow purportedly burglarized Natural Smiles Dentistry in Millcreek, UT. She allegedly took items, including an employee's ID that allowed her to steal $2,500 from a savings account, from personal lockers, according to the story.
The dental team did some of its own sleuthing, leading them to find a story about a similar type of burglary at a dental office in Orem. Turnbow is accused of committing other burglaries at practices in the state.
