A South Carolina dentist who was practicing dentistry in New York state has been sentenced to one to three years in prison for a felony conviction for lying about a past drug conviction.
David W. Holloway, DDS, of Bluffton, SC, was previously convicted in South Carolina for unlawfully distributing Vicodin and had his South Carolina license revoked, according to a statement by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
Dr. Holloway admitted that he lied about his drug conviction when he applied to renew his New York license in 2008y.
As part of his guilty plea, Dr. Holloway surrendered his New York dental license.
