The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and the Dental Advancement through Learning and Education Foundation on July 14 hosted a dentistry, oral health, and healthcare forum in Chicago.
Called the "Dental Assistant Stakeholder Forum on the Future Workforce," the gathering brought participants from more than 20 organizations together for a discussion on a range of topics but particularly workforce development. The DANB's 2020-2021 Dental Assistants Salary and Satisfaction Survey found that more than 40% of respondents believe their practices need to hire one or more new dental assistants, the board said.
