The Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) has received a $50,000 grant from Delta Dental of New Mexico to create a scholarship program for students in the college's dental assistant certificate program.
The scholarships will help students with the costs associated with transitioning from school to employment, according to Delta Dental.
Minimum awards of $500 will be distributed based on financial need, job-related obstacles, and academic standing.
CNM's program is the only ADA Council of Dental Assisting-approved program in the area, according to the school.
