The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) has introduced a new U.S. certification exam program: the Certified Preventive Dental Assistant (CPDA).
The CPDA certificate comprises four component exams:
- Coronal polish
- Sealants
- Topical anesthetic
- Topical fluoride
There are no prerequisites for taking the exams, according to DANB. However, candidates seeking the certification must apply through one of four eligibility pathways.
