CAD/CAM
3M offers new zirconia block
3M is introducing a zirconia block for crowns and bridges.
The 3M Chairside Zirconia is a CAD/CAM zirconia block optimized for the fast-sintering CEREC SpeedFire Furnace 1 (Dentsply Sirona). The new block has a sintering time of approximately 20 minutes for a thin-walled crown.
The material is available in eight different shades and two block sizes designed for crowns and three-unit bridges to match the Vita classical shades (Vita North America). The material has a low minimum wall thickness of 0.8 mm, according to 3M.
The block can be preordered at booth Nos. 3825 and 4025.
Hygiene
Ascentcare launches saliva ejector tube holder
Ascentcare Dental Products is introducing an illuminated attachment for its Bite Buddy mouth prop.
The Lighted Saliva Sidekick attaches a light source to a saliva tube ejector, which allows the practitioner to intraorally illuminate the patient's mouth. It was designed with antimicrobial medical-grade polycarbonate and is sterilizable and reusable, according to Ascentcare.

Imaging
MouthWatch rolls out mobile teledentistry cart and platform update
MouthWatch and DNTLworks Equipment are introducing a fully equipped mobile teledentistry cart.
The TeleDent MobileOp cart allows team members to move the intraoral camera and laptop between operatories. The cart will be available in multiple configuration options when it becomes available in spring 2019, according to MouthWatch.
MouthWatch will also demonstrate its updated all-in-one teledentistry platform.
TeleDent 2.0 includes support for more locations and larger referral networks plus new open software architecture that allows for integration with a practice's existing digital imaging and health records systems.

Air Techniques debuts 2 digital imaging products
Air Techniques is introducing two digital imaging products, a digital radiography systems and an interproximal camera head.
The digital radiography system, the ScanX Swift View, is WiFi-enabled with a full-color touchscreen that displays 16.7 million colors.
The interproximal camera head, the Proxi, fits the company's CamX Triton HD camera. The device allows practitioners to detect and diagnose interproximal caries, according to Air Techniques.
