Do's and don'ts for the 4th quarter: How to finish the year strong

We're coming up to the final quarter of the year. Things can get a little crazy as we move toward the end of the year. Once we get past Halloween, it's a mad sprint to the finish. The holiday season will soon be here.

Do

Focus on hitting your goals. These last four months can make or break your entire year. Are you on target for production, case acceptance, overhead, and referrals? If you are, keep your foot on the accelerator as you head toward the finish line. If you're off track, make any necessary adjustments now to put your practice in the best position for hitting your goals by year's end.

Don

Don't let distractions sap momentum. Every season has its challenges, but this last quarter has an abundance of them, namely, the end-of-year holidays starting with Thanksgiving continuing through New Year's Eve. You want to be in the best shape prior to Thanksgiving, but you don't want to write off December either. Celebrate the season, but stay focused on your goals all the way to the end.
