DentLight launches oral cancer exam device

DentLight has launched the DOE, a rechargeable battery-powered cordless dental oral health examination system, the company announced.

The system is designed for visualization of mucosal abnormalities and oral lesions, including oral cancer based on patent-pending, magnified fluorescence imaging technology, DentLight said.

The DOE system consists of a cordless wand with an interchangeable light head (white and violet) that illuminates a high-power, collimated LED beam, high-contrast magnified fluorescence filters, charging stand, power adapter, and patient protective eyewear goggles.

The DOE is less than $2,000 for the full kit and less than $1,000 for current users of the company's Fusion curing light with an upgrade starter kit.
