The World Health Organization (WHO) has released three short, animated videos that describe recommended procedures to prevent COVID-19 infection when screening, triaging, and receiving people who seek oral healthcare.
The videos also cover the measures that should be in place to protect patients and personnel, as well as the cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization procedures to be applied to surfaces, equipment, and instruments.
The videos are intended for training purposes and educating public health authorities, particularly those responsible for oral health both in the public and private sectors.
The videos are in English, but versions in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish are expected to be released in the next few months.
