There have been 555 reported cases of measles in 20 U.S. states so far in 2019, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There were 372 reported cases in 2018.
Ongoing outbreaks have been reported in six U.S. areas:
- New York City
- Rockland County in New York state
- Ocean County in New Jersey
- Oakland and Wayne counties in Michigan
- Butte County in California
- Clark and King counties in Washington state
