Clorox has acquired Aplicare and HealthLink, providers of infection-control products for the healthcare industry.
The acquisitions expand the healthcare portfolio of the company's Away From Home business, according to Clorox.
Aplicare specializes in developing and manufacturing products that prevent skin infection from needles or surgery. The company sells its products to hospitals and other companies that create kits for use by healthcare facilities.
HealthLink bundles products, including AloeGuard antimicrobial hand soap, for use by physicians and healthcare facilities.
The combined purchase price for both transactions was $80 million to $90 million and was funded through cash and commercial paper borrowing.
