Laser and CAD/CAM scanner company Biolase has named Todd Norbe as its new CEO. The company also announced its fiscal second quarter financial results.
Norbe comes to Biolase from KaVo Kerr Group, where he served as president for North American operations.
For the quarter (end-June 30), Biolase reported net revenue of $12.2 million, a decrease of 4% compared with net revenue of $12.6 million from the same period of 2017. The company reported a net loss of $4.9 million for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $4.3 million in the same quarter of 2017.
Biolase also announced the promotion of John Beaver to executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Beaver served as interim CEO for four months along with his duties as CFO and senior vice president.
