Biolase has signed a development and distribution agreement with IPG Photonics' medical laser division, IPG Medical.
IPG makes optical fiber-based lasers for medical applications.
The agreement covers several projects for commercialized joint dental laser products, accessories, or integral system components. The companies will collaborate in the design and development of new products and applications.
Biolase will be responsible for U.S. and international registrations of dental products resulting from the agreement and will have exclusive worldwide commercial distribution rights for certain products over a multiyear term.
