Biolase Technology has named Richard Whipp as its director of operations, effective immediately. He will report to chairman and CEO Federico Pignatelli and chief financial officer Fred Furry.
Whipp has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and operations, the company said. Prior to joining Biolase, he spent 13 years in operations at Discus Dental, where he was senior director of operations responsible for the company's distribution operations, with direct experience in diode laser supply chain management and lean manufacturing.
