Biolase revenues expected to double in Q2

According to a preliminary review of its financial performance for the second quarter of 2009 (end-June 30), Biolase Technology expects to report net revenues of more than $13.5 million for the quarter, rebounding from $6.6 million in the previous quarter, the company announced.

Net income and cash flows are also expected to be positive for the second quarter, the company said.

"During difficult economic times -- when our doctors need it most -- we have worked very hard alongside our primary partner Henry Schein to spread the benefits of Waterlase dentistry across the world," said Biolase CEO David Mulder in a press release. "Our new distribution commitments, aggressive new sales and marketing programs, and our new Waterlase MD Turbo launch were all key factors in recent improvements."

Biolase will provide additional details when it reports its full financial results in August, the company said.
