U.K-based Dr. Heff's Products has signed an export contract worth 500,000 British pounds ($645,000 U.S.) with Remarkable Imports of Lebanon, NJ, for its mints, which are designed to reverse tooth decay.

Dr. Heff's Remarkable Mints were invented and developed by two U.K. dentists and contain calcium phosphate, xylitol, green tea, and peppermint oil. The mints help remineralize teeth by reducing acidity levels in the mouth, allowing calcium and phosphate to repair the damage caused by tooth decay, and they preserve the collagen scaffold that provides the structure for remineralization to occur, according to the company website.

The mints would be sold to dentists in the U.S. and available directly to consumers through Benco Dental and Dr. Heff's U.S. website. Dr. Heff's Products projected that the deal could reach 4.56 million pounds ($5.9 million U.S.) over the next five years,.

Dr. Heff's Remarkable Mints are already available in Germany, Poland, and Monaco, with plans to expand to Austria, Switzerland, China, and Mexico.
