Hu-Friedy has added Sickle scalers to its line of EverEdge 2.0 instruments.
Sickle scalers are designed to remove moderate to heavy deposits, especially supragingival or subgingival calculus, from tooth surfaces. They come with straight or curved blades, and they can be used with anterior and posterior applications.
The new Sickle scaler comes in a diamond-knurled, large-diameter handle and a Resin 8 Colors handle. Like the other EverEdge 2.0 scalers, it can be resharpened at any point to extend its life.
