Ranir acquires leading French toothbrush company

Oral and personal healthcare product manufacturer Ranir announced that it has acquired Oralys Dental, the leading provider of private-label toothbrushes in France.

The move bolsters Ranir's global footprint and establishes the Grand Rapids, MI-based company as the largest private-label oral care provider in France, according to the company. Oralys Dental will remain a separate company and continue to operate under the Oralys brand. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Ranir CEO Christine Henisee stated in a press release that this acquisition paves the way for further expansion.

"The addition of Oralys Dental is another significant step in our international strategy aimed at partnering with key retailers to grow both geographically and in our product assortment," Henisee said. "Oralys is the market share leader in France, giving us a strong platform for expanding Ranir into the Southern European countries and adding to our momentum in the north and western regions in Europe with the ultimate goal of becoming the leader in oral care products in the [European Union]."
