Dental waste technology provider Solmetex has acquired DryShield, a California-based supplier of in-treatment patient isolation products.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition comes on the heels of Solmetex's April 6 announcement that it has signed an agreement to purchase Sterisil, a developer of dental unit waterline infection control products.
With the new acquisitions, Solmetex, a company of the private equity firm Avista Capital Partners, will be a diversified business offering dental water treatment and patient safety management for the U.S. and global dental markets.
