The City University of New York (CUNY) School of Public Health (SPH) will offer 10 scholarships to study oral population health, thanks to a $350,000 gift from cosmetic dentist Dr. Michael Apa.
The Apa scholarships will be awarded to students who aspire to address significant research gaps in the area of oral population health, according to the university. Beginning in the fall of 2021 and continuing in the spring of 2022, the Apa scholars will receive full scholarships to study oral population health within one of the school's four departments to earn a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
