October is almost over, and that means that we are saying goodbye to National Dental Hygiene Month for another year. But, much like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and many other special moments during the year, there is no reason that the celebration of what dental hygienists do for our patients every day should stop when the calendar turns to November.

I know in my practice, my hygiene team is not only critical to the health of my patients but also plays a big role in the financial success of the practice. Hygiene is the lifeblood for so many dental businesses like mine. With that in mind, I always want to be doing what I can as a dentist to put the hygiene team in a position to succeed.

Over the years, I have found that following three tips makes a big difference in my relationship with my hygienists and in the confidence and enthusiasm they bring to their jobs. Let me share those three tips with you in the short video below.
