Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has developed a virtual reality experience that shows the bacteria found in the human mouth and how oral hygiene can affect them.
The experience aims to show the consequences of poor oral health, such as dysbiosis and disease. The presentation was shown during an August 26 media presentation at the J&J consumer products headquarters in Skillman, NJ.
The company has provided headsets to a handful of private dental practices and dental schools to use as a teaching resource. The experience is titled "Dental Biofilm, Dysbiosis, & Disease." The video can also be viewed on YouTube.
