The Henry Schein Cares Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to Oral Health America (OHA) for its upcoming National Share and Learn Conference.
More than 60 Smiles Across America (SSA) partners will gather during the conference in Philadelphia later this summer, according to OHA. The purpose of the conference is to improve the health and education of low-income children. Attendees learn how to help communities improve oral health services provided in school-based and school-linked settings.
OHA launched SAA in 2004 to provide oral disease prevention services to low-income children. During the 2014-2015 school year, OHA's network of 304 SAA partners reached more than 460,000 children in 47 states with services including dental sealants, fluoride varnish, and family education.
