ADHA announces award winners at Nashville meeting

The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) announced award winners in various categories at the organization's 2015 Annual Session, which was held June 17-23 in Nashville, TN.

The ADHA Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene was given to Linda Jorgenson, RDH, of River Falls, WI; Deborah Lyle, RDH, of Morris Plains, NJ; and Kelly Tanner Williams, RDH, of Williamsburg, VA. The winners "personify what those in the dental hygiene profession strive to exemplify to their patients, communities, and the world through a career dedicated to improving oral and overall health," according to an ADHA press release.

The Colgate/ADHA Community Outreach Award was given to the Snohomish County Dental Hygiene Society, while the State University of New York (SUNY) Canton Dental Hygiene Class of 2015 was awarded the Student Member Community Service Award.
