Henry Schein is sponsoring the keynote address by Bonnie St. John, a best-selling author, former White House official, and paralympic ski medalist, at the inaugural Women in DSO event to be held March 9-11 in Las Vegas.
Women in DSO is an organization established to serve as a platform to advance and promote bright women leaders across the dental service organization (DSO) space, said Kathleen Titus, Henry Schein business development director for strategic accounts and a founding board member of Women in DSO.
The event, "Empower and Grow 2022," will feature a keynote by St. John, the first African American to win medals at the 1984 Winter Paralympics in Innsbruck, Austria. In addition, St. John graduated with honors from Harvard University, won a Rhodes Scholarship, and was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a director of the White House National Economic Council.
"Women in dentistry have continued to make countless contributions and innovations in the dental industry," Titus said, in a news release. "We support women leaders in this field, and by collaborating with Women in DSO, we have the opportunity to further our efforts in recognizing the current and future women leaders in DSOs."
Schein is also supporting a leadership session titled, "Finding Your Voice," which will be led by Jackie Miller, president and chief operating officer of Bespoken Partners, on Thursday, March 10, at 11 a.m. PT.
