A company has created a portal for dentists, oral surgeons, and physicians to encourage their patients to purchase skincare products through the practitioner's own website.
Exponential Faces has created a virtual store for practitioners to sell dozens of these products, known as cosmeceuticals. Founded by plastic surgeon Barry Cohen, MD, the company offers an opportunity for practitioners to offer these products without having to create a full-service online store or spend time fulfilling orders.
The platform is customized to the doctor's practice, while the e-commerce aspects are handled by Exponential Faces, which also handles all questions concerning orders and returns.
The company charges an initial registration and setup fee. Then the net sales revenue generated from the practitioner's website is shared between the company and the practitioner, according to the terms and conditions on the company's website.
