Interproximal toothbrush firm eyes China market

Hoping to build on its success in Japan, Thornton International plans to work with its Japanese distributor to begin selling its interproximal toothbrush in China, according to a story in the Danbury News Times.

The company has already begun introducing the toothbrush to dental clinics in China, Thomas Thornton, president of Thornton International, told the News Times.

The company ships about $1 million worth of products to Japan annually, he said.

Since the development of the original interproximal toothbrush 35 years ago, 10 billion have been sold, according to Thornton.
