Glidewell has introduced the Comfort3D bite splint, a custom occlusal guard made with digital design and 3D-printing technology.
The Comfort3D bite splint can help protect dentition and most dental restorations from damage due to bruxing, the company noted.
The bite splint comes in a clear, stain-resistant finish. The appliance covers the full occlusal plane and consists of a 2-mm hard but flexible material that provides durability and bonds with acrylic, Glidewell added.
Comfort3D is the latest in Glidewell's bite splint portfolio. The company noted that it has produced more than 4.6 million night guards to help prevent damage from clenching and bruxism since 1999.
