Kempii said it has released a safe, environmentally friendly toothbrush that uses a bioplastic called Bambuplast made from bamboo and corn.
The material offers an advantage over bamboo toothbrushes, which may encourage the growth of mold. The mold could then result in mycotoxins entering the body when the teeth are brushed.
Costing $1.99, the purchase of the toothbrush also supports organizations that rescue Lepidochelys kempii, the world's smallest and most endangered sea turtle at the brink of extinction, according to the company.
