3Shape launches Generation Red E scanners for labs

3Shape has launched Generation Red E, a new line of dental lab scanners designed to replace the existing E scanner series.

The three new Generation Red E scanners serve as upgrades to the company's E1, E2, and E3 models. They feature a signature red ring and are on the same enhanced platform as the E4 dental lab scanner.

The new platform completes scans 20% faster than the company's older technology, according to 3Shape. The scanners also include up to four 5-megapixel (MP) cameras with automatic scanning, and the Generation Red E3 and E4 models have suitable ISO-documented accuracy for implant bars.

The company is offering the new Generation Red E line at the same price point as the older E1, E2, and E3 models. 3Shape is also offering dental labs a special savings incentive of $1,200 on the scanner line, as well as up to $2,400 off a scanner for trading in an older model.
