
3D printing startup Structo of Singapore has pivoted from solely producing dental models to also manufacturing presterilized nasopharyngeal swabs to aid in COVID-19 testing.
Thus far, Structo has produced a total of 1 million of the individually sterilized and packaged swabs for customers in Singapore, and it is boosting its capability to manufacture 1 million per week, it said. The swabs are U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) registered medical devices, according to Structo.
