Dental equipment manufacturer Dentsply Sirona, cleft-focused organization Smile Train, and the FDI World Dental Federation have developed the first global standard protocols for digitized cleft treatment.
The protocols aim to improve the accuracy and efficacy of current treatments by providing dental professionals with a comprehensive digital clinical approach across all stages of care. The protocols encompass the fields of presurgical orthopedics, mixed dentition, permanent dentition, and oral rehabilitation, each of which features a remote monitoring and oral health component.
There is a digital workflow tool, as well as an educational course created by Smile Train and FDI with the support of Dentsply Sirona.
