SmileDirectClub has launched its artificial intelligence (AI)- powered SmileMaker platform in Australia.
The platform, which can show patients their future smile transformations within minutes, will expand into the U.S. in late 2022 or early 2023.
SmileMaker is available through the free SmileDirectClub app, which is compatible with Apple devices and soon will be available for Android devices. The app allows users to capture a 3D scan of their teeth, bite, and alignment using their phone's camera. Minutes after the 3D scan, consumers receive their custom smile plans and are prompted to provide further high-definition scans through the doctor-prescribed at-home impression kit, or at a local SmileShop or partner network location.
