Artificial intelligence (AI) developer Overjet has raised $27 million in a recent round of financing led by General Catalyst and New York-based global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners.
Overjet makes AI products that automate much of the clinical review process in the dental benefits space. The new financing follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance in May of the company's Dental Assist product, which was designed to support dental professionals in measuring mesial and distal bone levels in bitewing and periapical radiographs.
Existing investors, including Crosslink Capital and the E14 Fund, also participated in the funding round, the company said.
