Private dental clinics are emerging all over China in response to increasing demand from China's growing middle class and aging population, according to a new report by the Millennium Research Group (MRG).
This new trend could enable the dental implant market in China to reach more than $125 million by 2013, the report states.
"The global economic crisis will slow this market in 2009, but only moderately," stated Kevin Flewwelling, manager of Orthopedic and Dental Research at MRG, in a press release. "Due to improved clinical education, greater patient awareness of dental implants, and a larger urban middle class, the Chinese dental implant market will still grow at double-digit rates even at the height of the worldwide economic crisis."
The report, "Chinese Markets for Dental Implants 2009," discusses key industry players, including Anthogyr, BEGO Implant Systems, Bicon Dental Implants, Biomet 3i, Dentsply International, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, Straumann, and many more.
