The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared Athlos Oy's DC-Air wireless intraoral x-ray imaging sensor.
DC-Air is a digital sensor that matches "the resolution of film and the ... convenience of phosphor plates," the company said. It will be distributed in the U.S. by Freedom Technologies Group, according to Athlos Oy.
