Dentsply Sirona is launching a new generation of x-ray systems with its Orthophos line.
The Orthophos E is designed for digital extraoral imaging and features panoramic, pediatric panoramic, bitewing, and other exposure programs. It also is equipped with basic programs for the 2D diagnostic process. In addition, a motorized forehead and temple support helps to stabilize patients, while the integrated temple width measurement can automatically select the appropriate orbital curve for optimum image results.
The Orthophos S can be used in 2D mode and as a combined 2D/3D system. Its optimal cephalometric arm is suitable for orthodontic practices, and its autopositioner supports automatic positioning of the patient.
Orthophos SL features a direct conversion sensor and sharp layer technology for panoramic and 3D imaging, as well as autopositioner, 2D programs, and a range of volume sizes in high-definition, standard-definition, and low-dose mode. It also includes metal artifact reduction software for improved image interpretation by automatically detecting metals in each volume.
All three systems offer the company's Sidexis 4 imaging software for enhanced image quality at low dose.
