Dental products company Envista Holdings has acquired Carestream Dental's intraoral scanning technology business for $600 million. The business will be rebranded as DEXIS.
The transaction includes Carestream's flagship CS3600, CS3700, and CS3800 intraoral scanner line and related software but not Carestream's imaging equipment or practice management businesses, according to the terms of the deal.
Envista is a global family of more than 30 dental brands, including Nobel Biocare, Ormco, and Kerr.
