Carestream Dental is highlighting the CS 3600 intraoral scanner, which is designed for oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and other new products at this week's American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) conference in Las Vegas.
The scanner features an implant-borne restorative workflow, fast scanning, and an open system for easy file sharing, according to the company. The implant-borne restorative workflow is designed for implant scanning, supported abutments, and scan bodies. A dual-scan mode scans the same implant region, with and without the scan body in place. The software provides split-screen viewing for side-by-side comparison of the digital impressions with and without the scan bodies/abutments in place.
CS 3600 is compatible with other open implant planning and surgical guide software programs. Open stereolithography (STL) files share data with referrals and labs.
At the AAOMS conference, Carestream is also previewing the redesigned electronic medical record (EMR) module for its CS WinOMS practice management software. The module allows almost every component of the patient's record accessible with a single click, according to the company. The module features a sleek, modernized interface, making it easier and faster to navigate.
The company is also showing eConnections, a single sign-on system that includes appointment reminders, online scheduling, online brand management including ratings and reviews, local search engine optimization, online directories, return on investment tracking, and call recording and analysis.
